Your Ledger device will generate a 24-word recovery phrase. This phrase is the most important part of your wallet security.

Write the words down exactly as shown and store them offline in a safe, private location. Never take photos, store them digitally, or share them online. Anyone with access to your recovery phrase can control your crypto.

Ledger will never ask for your recovery phrase.

Step 4: Add Crypto Accounts

After confirming your recovery phrase, you can install apps for different cryptocurrencies using Ledger Live. Add accounts for Bitcoin, Ethereum, and many other supported assets.
